Girls Golf Rocks and Get into Golf Rookies are the national participation programmes designed to introduce and develop young golfers in a fun and engaging environment.

Hosted at clubs and facilities the programmes involves six one-hour sessions where junior golfers will learn the basics whilst playing fun games.

Programme Outline 

Girls Golf Rocks encourages beginner girls aged 5-18 to learn and play golf in a fun and friendly way.

Get into Golf rookies encourages children and young people aged 5-18 to learn and play golf in a fun and friendly way.

The programme involves six weeks of delivery, 1 hour a week, with the last hour being out on the course.

All activities are designed to be:

  • FUN!
  • Involve team/group pursuits
  • Include a variety of golf-related activities
  • Allow for social time either at the beginning or end (or both)
